Recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) have made it to shift from high-level cognition to execute more complicated motor skills engaging multi-step reasoning. Such progress raised AI as attractive to organizations from diversified fields. Medical science has also started the use of AI in decision making on the basis of ‘most appropriate’ in terms of diagnosis and treatment based on evidences. It is also assisting healthcare providers in primary care of patient. Data collection is being done evolved from experimentations.
Centered on concept of AI, Ayurveda has better scopes for applying AI as determination of Prakriti and related aspects. Seven types of Prakriti are mentioned in Charak Samhita placed on types and dominance of doshas. Genome-wide Prikriti linked to rheumatoid arthritis has been studied by Juyal et al. (2012). Charak Vimansthana 8/95 apparently relates Prikriti with the qualities of sperms and eggs before birth. It connects the Prakriti of child with mother’s uterus, life-style, food habits etc. Direct or indirect genetic facets are reflected in all these aspects. Understanding of Prakriti is in core of treatment based on notion of personalized treatment.
Genomic data based on Prakriti and data of capabilities of people from various Prakriti to solve specific task in best way are paramount for artificial intelligence. Accordingly, neural networks can be framed for sophisticated computations. Algorithms of aggregated tasks simulated with deep neural network enable machine to make decision in smarter way with greater efficacy in order to perform task. Anew research highlights the potentials of AI in protein folding problems, a gateway for scientists from medical science to develop and select most appropriate drug and therapy. The specific way of protein folding is related to cell signalling pathways regulated by DNA. Studies are required to find out the connections of protein folding and neural networks with Prakriti to open multi-doors for treatments through Ayurveda.
