In Masha taila, tila taila (sesame oil) works as base. Tila taila contains 14% saturated fatty acids, 33-54% oleic acid and 35-59% linoleic acids. Temperature affects the quality of oil by interfering with physical, chemical and compositional compositions. 1.5-2% of total saturated fatty acids are observed converted to alkanes at temperature of 140-160°C for 8 hours.Materials and Methods: The Masha Taila was heated separately at 40°C, 80°C, 120°C, 160°C and 200°C. This was done for 10 sampl...

Anushree H.S., Research Assistant, ALNRMAMC, Koppa Professor (Dr.) Milind Hukkeri, ALNRMAMC, Koppa     Abstract: The science and technology handling the particles for innovative medicines has attracted the world in last few decades. Indian government’s idea to apply the technology is appreciating approach. Ayurveda discloses the already existing practices of nanotechnology with options of improvement. Increased surface area, enhanced bioavailability, rapid onset of therapeutic actions with reduced doses are expected with this technology. A detailed structure-based study of compounds from existing formulations as well as inventions of new formulations with basic formulations are having greater options of researches in this field. Minute understanding of nanotechnology have...

Even after lots of successful clinical reortings, pharmaceutical and analytical studies were not observed. Physico-chemical parameters like ash values and extractive values were evaluated. Preliminary phytochemical tests revealed the secondary metabolites like glycosides, triterpenoids, flavonoids etc. Being jaggery an important portion of formulation, 23% sugar was observed in study. Thin layer chromatography exposed 5 and 4 spots respectively for alcoholic extracts and water extracts. Download pdf
