Abstract: Kaphaja kasa is one of Kasa caused by obstruction in circulation of vayu due to heavy foods’ intake, inactive lifestyle and over sleeping. Cough, sore throat, lack of appetite, sneezing etc. are signs and symptoms. Many of herbs or herbal formulations are indicated in Ayurveda for Kaphaja Kasa having inhibitory effects on cough reflex, mucolytic effects and immunomodulatory effects.
