Chionanthus mala-elengi (Densst.) P.S. Green

This is 8-10 meters tall tree with grey-green bark covered with raised lenticels. Leaves are simple, opposite, 4-15 x 2.5-5 cm in size, elliptic-ovate in shape with acuminated or rounded apex. Flowers are white to dull-white in colour and in cymes or in axillary fascicles. Drupes are ovoid.

Traditionally in Kerala, bark and leaves of this plant are used in joint problems, for wound healing etc.
