Quality assessments of drugs are based on chemical and biological analysis. They are important for safety and efficacy determination of any drug. Many of Ayurvedic formulations have been evaluated chemically but chemical analysis of Induppukana Churna was not found. However, it is important drug, prescribed in Agnimandya (suppression of digestion). It is herbo-mineral preparation containing Saindhava lavana, Ajmoda, Pippali and Haritaki. Ash values, extractive values and pH are estimated as Physico-chemical parameters whereas water soluble extractives and alcohol soluble extractives are obtained as extractive values. Preliminary phytochemical analysis is done. Quantitative assessment of sodium, potassium and total phenols are observed………………..
